The Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastian are something you must see and feel . The vibe of Old San Juan ,sounds and sights are so inspiring. This year was the 38th anniversary of the fiestas.The world renounced artist and "hijo de Borinquen" Ricky Martin performed and the fiestas were dedicated to the astro Puertorriqueño. Friday the Orquesta de Willie Rosario,Plenealo, Sonora Ponceña y la Banda de la Policia Municipal delighted the crowds.If you haven't been to the fiestas start planning for next January it's something you must experience. Of course their were artesanos and activities for the kids too. The fiestas are from Thursday to Sunday and a fun event for all ages.

Guavate " wow " "La Ruta del Lechon" y "la capital del colesterol" as the locals would say. You have to enjoy the savory lechon, cuajito, pasteles,morcillas, is your mouth watering? We stopped by a great restaurant called "El Guvateño" la casa del arroz saltarin y los egg rolls de lechon. We were greeted by is chefs and owners Pedro Figueroa and Ricardo Cestero. The food is excellent, beautiful view and the live music playing in the background, oh and a family atmosphere even your abuela would enjoy. Thanks to all the staff for being so great.
