Well, this past Saturday I was pleased to cover a Fiesta Night in a Bronx public School, located on Tiffany Street, between Westchester Avenue and 163rd Street. The event was hosted by Directions For Our Youth and "D" Beacon One, under the direction of Ashok Kamal and Joseph Mpa.

The goals of the "Fiesta Night" featured "Parents Speak Up" national abstinence media campaign, so as to make parents aware of the strong influence they have on their children's decisions regarding sexual activity. The program targeted Hispanic parents and their pre-teens and teens children.

The event included a educational literature, a keynote presentation by renown family advocate, teacher and parent Frank Rosado, and entertainment by a Mexican Folklorico dance company and a salsa dance performance by Dancers Dreamzzz.

A catered lunch for all in attendance completed the program
