On April 29, 2006 the Puerto Rican Heritage Statewide Committee of New Jersey, Inc celebrated their annual awards at the Mediterranean Manor. The MC for the events wereJackie Quiles and Mike Mercado. The recipients were William Vazquez (Director Saint James Hospital), Jose Negron (Superintendent Public Schools), Detective Sergeant Hector Ramos( NJ State Police), Prof Asela Rod. De Laguna (Rutger University), Rene Marin Oliveras (1st Puerto Rican Municipal Judge NJ), Franks Lorenzo (Jersey City Deputy Mayor), Illia Villanueva (Exec. Dir. CASA program), Juan Cartagena (Director Segunda Quimbamba), Herman Oliveras (Singer), Eliezer Delgado (President Delgado Trucking, Dr Dennis Aponte (Internal Medicine), Hon Joe Vas (Mayor/Assemblyman), Arqulio Fraticeli (Director Internal Affairs Verazon), Eduardo Santos (CEO/Founder PuertoRicans.Com), Arthur S Guida (Director External Affairs - PSE&G), Hon Bill Pascrell (US Congressman), Hon Douglas H Palmer (Mayor Trenton), Adrianne Davis (Secretary Board Freeholders), Hon Manuel Segura (Councilman Trenton), Calvin West (Exec Dir, Governors NJ Office), Ike Hopkins (Former Manager External Affairs NJ Bell), Berberly Lynn (Exec Dir.
