Well, here we are beginning
another year. I began mine by briefly visiting the first
taping this year of "La Nueva Ola" Manhattan
Neighborhood Network cable TV Show. The show, created,
produced, and directed by Rosa Marrero and Fernando
commonly known as "El Indio," has been on
since on or about 1991.
The show provides exposure opportunities for aspiring
performing artists, to showcase their talents, especially
among the youth. On occasion, those who turn on to see
the show, are treated to some known artist as well.
The show is critical in the sense that it provides such
opportunities, where otherwise there would be none.
Here are some photos of Rosa and Indio, the dedicated
camera operators, Juan Gonzalez the host on this taping,
performers, and live audience. I'd also like to mention
Jerry Vargas who lately has been coordinating the talent
for the show. Support La Nueva Ola show by tuning in
when the show is broad-casted. For broadcasting info
e-mail puertoricans.com so I can get back to you.
Como siempre, Dios los bendigas.
